So today we had another feedback session, at the moment my heads been a little bit all over the place and I've been seriously unfocused and unable to do pretty much anything due to personal reasons, meaning I've been a little bit lost of what I am actually doing when I go into these feedback sessions. This weeks session we again very helpful, I guess I was a little bit distant and vague on explaining the ideas that I have and my intentions and what I want to do, but I was given some good ideas in what kind of direction I could go in. I explained about the research that I have done over the past few days and that I had come across the work of Robert Mapplethorpe, Karl Blossfeldt and Evanita W. Montalvo and that I want to take flowers out of their natural environment and place them in the studio and photographs them that way, as taking flowers out of their natural environment changes the whole meaning of the totally, they are no longer where they should be and this is something interesting, why have the been removed? why are they now in a certain environment?
Having said what I was thinking of doing in the studio, I was also given a few more ideas as to other ways I could approach the theme, such as photographing flowers and plants of a specific route that I am walking, photographing flowers that catch my eye' and the weeds that grow up in between the pavement. I really like these ideas but the one that struck me the most was photographic the flowers and plants that I came across on a specific route that I was walking. I wanted to take this idea and produce some photographs straight away, which is what I am going to do.
